Nemours is seeking a Healthcare Operational Performance Improvement and Data Analytics Manager to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE.
In support of organizational and enterprise operational and financial goals and objectives, this position will have a strong focus on the obtainment, analysis, and presentation of data to recognize, implement, and support strategic and operational performance improvement initiatives. Additionally, this position will be looked upon to assist enterprise and departmental leadership in implementing new and revised programs, services, and processes to achieve the goals of the organization.
The position will support multiple hospital-based services and departments including but not limited to the Anesthesia, Audiology, Lab, Partnerships, Quality & Safety, Radiology, Strategic Planning, Therapy, and others.
Essential Functions
Operational Leadership
* Support the development and implementation of operational dashboards. Support collection and analysis of data that measures success against benchmarks. Support refinements or changes to programs, procedures, and/or approaches in response to that information.
* Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to direct leaders to keep them appropriately informed of operating performance of areas of oversight.
Data Management and Utilization to Drive Operational Improvement Initiatives
* Collect, analyze, and present current and historical qualitative and quantitative data to support the needs and goals of the enterprise and Hospital-Based Services
* Utilizing current and historical data, provide leadership with trends, projections, and action items for the achievement of operational, financial, and utilization goals
* Using data obtained and analyzed, and in partnership with leadership, develop and monitor cost-containment strategies that drive greatest value for patients, families, and organization while creating financial sustainability.
* Obtain and analyze data to understand work processes, time management, and efficiency of staff. Assist to develop plans to maximize productivity and ensure maximum utilization of resources available.
* Partner with Hospital-Based and Operational Finance to assist with the development of operational budgets (expense management, productive, and nonproductive time), assist in the analysis and trending of current year budget variance, and assist in the development and implementation of variance remedies
* Obtain advanced proficiency with Nemours software systems (Harmony, HRIS, sales force, NDNQI, EPIC, Midas, Qlik Sense) to support objectives.
* Other operational duties as prioritize by Hospital-Based Services Leadership and Partnership Teams.
Quality Assurance and Improvement
* Work collaboratively to assure high performance in the attainment of operational effectiveness and efficiency, patient safety outcomes, patient experience outcomes through patient / family centered care, quality outcomes, hospital operations, financial performance, productivity, and Continuous Performance Improvement. Participates in work to maintain regulatory standard requirements at the State, Federal, and Joint Commission level.
Planning and Program Development
* Support strategic and operational planning and the development of new programs and processes directed at increasing market share, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing financial results.
* In support of strategic initiatives, develop utilization and financial models to aid leadership in the decision-making process
* In partnership with operational leadership develop project activation plans and assist in the successful implementation of strategic intiatives

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required/ Master's degree strongly preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a project management, accounting/finance, or data analysis role, preferably in healthcare.
