Your Role:

The Human Resources Manager leads the full HR function for our multi?disciplinary, private medical practice, ensuring compliant, people?centric operations that enable high?quality patient care. The role oversees talent acquisition, provider and staff onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and compliance (HIPAA/OSHA), HRIS/payroll administration, and policy governance. The HR Manager partners with clinical and administrative leaders to align HR strategies with practice goals, culture, and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

• Own full?cycle recruiting for clinical (physicians, APPs, RNs/LPNs/CMAs, techs) and administrative roles; manage sourcing, screening, selection, offers, and background checks.
• Coordinate provider and staff onboarding (checklists, orientation schedules, & compliance).
• Partner with Credentialing Specialists or practice leaders to align onboarding timelines with licensure, DEA, payer enrollment, and privileging milestones (awareness of credentialing dependencies).

Employee Relations, Culture & Engagement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees; facilitate timely, fair resolution of concerns.
• Coach leaders on feedback, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
• Plan and measure engagement initiatives (pulse surveys, recognition, appreciation events) with follow?through on action plans.

Compliance & Policy Governance

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage & hour, and state employment laws.
• Maintain accurate I?9s and personnel files; manage leaves and accommodations.
• Own required trainings (HIPAA privacy/security, OSHA/BBP, harassment prevention), logs, and documentation.
• Review, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbook; standardize job descriptions.

Performance Management & Development

• Administer the annual performance review process; calibrate ratings and ensure quality feedback.
• Support leadership development and training; build manager capability in coaching and accountability.
• Identify skill gaps; coordinate compliance CE and role?specific training with clinical leaders.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll/HRIS

• Benchmark roles against healthcare labor markets; advise on pay structures and merit cycles.
• Lead benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, life/STD/LTD, 401(k), HSA/FSA), open enrollment, and vendor issue resolution.
• Partner with Finance/Payroll to ensure accurate HRIS entries, audits, and reconciliations.

Workforce Planning & Analytics

• Track and report HR KPIs (time?to?fill, turnover, retention, engagement, safety incidents); present trends and actions.
• Support staffing models for clinic operations, cross?coverage, and growth.

Safety & Employee Health

• Coordinate annual TB testing, flu vaccination, and exposure management processes with appropriate clinical leaders.
• Support workers’ compensation claims and return?to?work programs.

Other

• Manage HR budget, external partners, and HR technology roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement and change management for HR processes.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience in healthcare, including 3–5 years in a private medical practice setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO and healthcare workforce requirements.
• Proven experience across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and policy administration.
• Proficiency with HRIS/payroll platforms, Paychex preferred, and Microsoft 365; strong documentation and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication abilities; sound judgment and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification: SHRM?CP/SHRM?SCP, PHR/SPHR, and/or CHHR.
• MGMA/ACMPE HR coursework or HR Management Certificate (HRMC).
• Multi?site practice experience; supervising HR staff; leading open enrollment and compensation cycles.
• Exposure to provider onboarding/credentialing timelines and payer enrollment coordination.
